BSA Youth Protection Training
To participate as an adult leader and/or to attend off-site events (e.g., camping) Akelas (i.e, parents and other adults) must compete the on-line youth protection training. When completed, you'll get a certificate that you can print or email. We need this on record before you can assist as a leader or attend off-site events. The training is actually quite good and lays out some great policies for keeping our kids safe. Note: As part of this process, you'll create a username and password for my.scouting.org. You'll need this in the future to update this training and for other stuff, so make a note of it. You should also make a note of the BSA ID that you get assigned. . Before you start, download this how to document. The training is here.

Health Forms
Both Akelas and Cubs need completed Health Forms to go camping. We take these forms with us when we go camping so that we have all the essential info immediately available in case of an emergency. These must be updated every year. You only need to complete portions A & B (not C, so no doctor visit required). The pdf is here. Warning: Adults are supposed to have a tetanus shot and you'll need immunization records for the cubs. Note: You can fill out by hand, but if you're able to fill out the pdf as a computer document you can then save it and simply update it when next year comes around. You can also find the form here -- the first circle links to a pdf with just A&B, the second links to the pdf with A,B, &C. Once again, you just need to complete the A&B portions.
